eTrustITM Antivirus Installation Registration

The Ministry of Education have recently sent out copies of eTrust AntiVirus Version 8.1 disks to all schools. We now have it working with Smart-Net 2. For those schools on Smart-Net 1, eTrust 8.1 will not work due to incompatibilities with the kernel on Smart-Net 1, however eTrust 7.0 and eTrust 7.1 will continue to function as they currently do and are presently still collecting signatures from CA.

To upgrade to eTrustITM 8.1, register with Smart Computer Systems and we will install eTrustITM on your Smart-Net server.

If you have not already registered for the Antivirus deal, you should do it now as we will be unable to install your software if you do not have the appropriate cdroms. Visit the IBM website at MOE Anti-Virus Deal.

We strongly recommend to upgrade to eTrustITM 8.1 as it contains new methods of detecting virus threats, as well as including pest protection. eTrustITM 8.1 is also the only version that will work with the Windows Vista platform. Should you not wish to upgrade, eTrust 7.1 will continue to function, for as long as Computer Associates supports it.

Sign up here to have eTrusITM 8.1 installed on your server.

E-Trust Antivirus

The Ministry of Education have recently sent out copies of eTrust AntiVirus Version 8.1 disks to all schools. We have received a copy and are currently getting it to work with Smart-Net 2. For those schools on Smart-Net 1, eTrust 8.1 will not work, due to incompatibilities with the kernel on Smart-Net 1, however eTrust 7.0 and eTrust 7.1 will continue to function as they currently do and are presently still collecting signatures from CA.

We are working to get eTrust 8.1 working on Smart-Net 2 as quickly as possible, and will advise all schools as soon as it is stable and functional.

There will be a sign up process to have eTrust 8.1 installed on your server and detailed instructions will be available at that time.
