School Contract Rates for Technical Support

The following hourly rates will apply for 2010 school contracts:

4 - 19 hrs per month	$70.00
20 plus hrs per month	$65.00

Regular School Contracts

• The contract rates above are subject to GST.
• The contract rate will apply where Smart Computer Systems Ltd are contracted for a regular number of hours per week / fortnight or month on a pre-defined visit schedule.
• On Call Response - Contract clients will be given priority over schools that do not have a contract for technical support.
• Contract hours are for school term time only. School holiday work is available on request at the contract rate.
• Travel will be charged at the contract hourly rate.
• Contracted hours will be invoiced per month.
• Where a school changes the number of hours per month under the contract, the change will take effect from the next calendar month and the hourly rate charged will be according to the table above.
• Hours worked in excess of those contracted for will be invoiced at the current contract rate.
• Smart Computer Systems Ltd require 3 working days notice for cancellation if a scheduled visit is not required. If this is a regular occurrence then the contract hourly rate will be revised according to the actual hours used.
• If Smart Computer Systems Ltd is unable to supply a staff member for a scheduled visit (ie due to sickness, leave etc) Smart Computer Systems Ltd will contact the school to make arrangements for the hours to be made up or not charged for without any penalty to the school.
• Contracts may be cancelled by either party provided one month's written notice is given.

Cluster Contracts

• Cluster contract rates are the same as for Regular School Contracts.
• Schools that are in cluster can pool their hours together to achieve a better rate.
• Travel time for the cluster will be calculated and apportioned equally between the schools.
• The travel component will show on the monthly invoice.
• Where a school changes the number of hours per month under the contract or opts out of the cluster, the change will take effect from the next calendar month and the hourly rate charged will be according to the table above.

Regional Contracts

We have made a commitment to visit the regions at least once a term. Therefore, the following hourly rates will apply for 2010 regional school contracts:

• Schools that are in a geographic region outside of our Canterbury service area can pool their hours together to achieve a better rate.
• Travel time and accommodation for the regional visit will be calculated and apportioned equally between the schools.
• The travel and accommodation component will show on the invoice.
• Where a school changes the number of hours per school term under the contract or opts out of the regional contract, the change will take effect from the next school term and the hourly rate charged will be according to the table above.
